When stay-at-home orders were in full effect, lawn bowling and cornhole were the only thing deserted sports fans had left to cling to while we were stuck at home missing the excitement. The game cornhole can be easily set up in your backyard for that competitive streak during even the most mundane summer days. The game is played with either singles or doubles and played until one team or person hits 21 points. Cornhole comes in a variety of colors and patterns and can even come with LED lights. Giant Wooden Yard Dice

Dice is the perfect outdoor game for all ages and makes for a great summer pastime. Giant wooden yard die is typically played in a set of six leaving you with endless options for every age. A typical game is the first team to snake eyes (when played with two dice) or to 21 and you will need a rope to create a circle for the area. Bocce Ball

Bocce is a fun outdoor game for the whole family. Bocce is played with eight large balls and one smaller target or object ball called a pallina. Spikeball

Spikeball is a farily new sport that can be compared to a cross between volleyball and four-square. It is played 2 vs 2 or 4 vs 4, with a hula hoop sized Spikeball net placed on four legs on the ground and between the teams. A player starts a point by serving the ball down on the net so it ricochets up at his opponents. Spikeball is available in-store or online at Spikeball, Amazon and many other retailers.

Bucketball

BucketBall is like a giant pong game where the solo cups are now giant buckets. There is a set of blue and orange buckets that can be filled up with water to stabilize them when throwing. Teams consist of 1-2 players. Each player on a team throws once, trying to throw the ball into the other team’s buckets. If a ball goes into a bucket, then the bucket is removed. Jenga

Yet another traditionally indoor game can now be played outside for gigantic fun. Jenga is played by stacking up the wooden blocks like a tower and then removing them one by one and taking turns until the tower topples over. Chippo

Do you like golf? Cornhole? Then you need to try Chippo because it combines the two in this fun, all-inclusive game. To play, each player stands next to their board and uses a golf club to chip all six balls to the board, then the next player does the same. The game is offered at the official Chippo Golf website.

Ladder Ball

Adults and children alike can team up, find 15 spare feet, and play ladder ball! Ladder ball can be played as singles or in groups. Each player throws three bolas and the first team to hit 21 points wins! The top rung is worth three points, the middle is worth two and the last is worth one, then the next team takes over! Giant Ring Toss is a yard game that involves tossing the rings at the target and trying to get them to land around the posts for points. Players alternate turns and the score is taken as the difference of points (like cornhole).
