The Discovery Cube Orange County occasionally offers special homeschool days where families are invited to explore the museum and take part in special programs and workshops to supplement what they are learning at home. The exciting hand-on activities and museum exhibits are a great way to get students engaged in science. The homeschool days are often discounted from the original admission price and are posted on the Discovery Cube website when they are offered.


Fountain Valley Skating Center

$12 per child

Fountain Valley Skating Center no longer offers a homeschool skate session, but there is a kids skate session every Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. Coach Deborah will be on site during the roller skating session to help little ones learn to roller skate. Admission is $12 for kids and strollers and includes skate rentals and use of the skatemates. Adults skating with kids are free!

Get Air Surf City offers homeschool hour every Wednesday. The trampoline park offers a variety of jump areas plus a newly remodeled obstacle area, foam pits, a dodge ball area, a basketball area, and a toddler zone. There is no formal programming here, but kids love the free jump time and always leave sweaty.


Pretend City

Pretend City offers special homeschool rates on the third Friday of every month. Pretend City offers a wealth of hands-on activities and exhibits to complement curriculum and engage active learners including smart art, music and movement, simple science, math matters, literacy lessons, nature tales, and more. In addition to the opportunity for students to learn through play, the Pretend City community classrooms are available for parent teacher conferences and co-op use. Advanced online registration is required to participate in Pretend City Homeschool Days.


Wildfire Gymnastics

Lake Forest & Tustin

Wildfire Gymnastics in Lake Forest offers an open gym session every Tuesday (12-1) for ages 18 months and up. In Tustin, open gym is Wednesday (12-1). Get out on the floor and practice cartwheels and tricks or try out all of the exciting gymnastics equipment including vaults, beams, bars, tumbling tracks, and foam pits. Open gym at Wildfire is a great opportunity to explore at your own pace and have fun learning how to use the equipment while getting to know other homeschool families.


UNofficial Homeschool Day at Disneyland

Every January anyone who homeschools are invited to join fellow homeschoolers at Disneyland. A group picture is taken in front of the castle each year.


Bonus: Aquarium of the Pacific

Long Beach

Educators will be facilitating ocean related activities and explorations throughout the morning to homeschool networks, students, parents, and teachers. These engaging learning stations will allow students of all ages to experiment, investigate, and explore marine habitats and concepts.
