Aliso Viejo Ice Palace offers a special homeschool skating session every Monday. Skaters of all ages can come and enjoy an hour of ice skating and take part in the 20 minute mini-lesson at the beginning of the skate session to learn the basics of how to ice skate. Aliso Viejo Ice Palace is a vendor for several charter schools and will take charter funds with the appropriate arrangements. Aliso Viejo also offers a variety of ice skating classes and youth hockey programs.

Big Air Buena Park and Laguna Hills offer discounted rates for homeschool families that can be used during regular business hours. Prices start at $10 per hour for one jumper, a discount of $7 off the regular admission price, and &16 for a 2-hour jump pass. They also offer the Hoppin’ Homeschool Pass for $90 for 10 1-hour jump sessions. They are a vandor with several charters and will coordinate with you to accept funds. Big Air is an indoor trampoline park with a variety of elements including the X-Wall, mechanical bull, the Battlebeam, foam pits, Airstrike Arena and more.

Circus Trix Mission Viejo offers a homeschool jump time every Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a discounted rate of $12 per jumper. This is a local favorite and kids love exploring the many obstacles like the warp wall, Ninja Obstacle Course, aerial silks, foam pits, trampolines, and slack lines. A great option for fulfilling PE requirements and developing tumbling and coordination skills.

The Discovery Cube Orange County occasionally offers special homeschool days where families are invited to explore the museum and take part in special programs and workshops to supplement what they are learning at home. The exciting hand-on activities and museum exhibits are a great way to get students engaged in science. The homeschool days are often discounted from the original admission price and are posted on the Discovery Cube website when they are offered.

Fountain Valley Skating Center is offering a homeschool skate session beginning September 2018 on the third Wednesday of every month. The roller skating session will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will be hosted by local roller skating pro Dirty Deborah Harry who will help little ones learn to roller skate. All ages are welcome to the homeschool skate session. The $10 admission fee includes skate rentals and use of the skatemates.

Get Air Surf City offers homeschool hour every Friday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00. The trampoline park offers a variety of jump areas plus a newly remodeled obstacle area, foam pits, a dodge ball area, a basketball area, and a toddler zone. There is no formal programming here, but kids love the free jump time and always leave sweaty.

Pretend City offers special homeschool rates on the third Friday of every month. Adults and students are both $9 each. Pretend City offers a wealth of hands-on activities and exhibits to complement curriculum and engage active learners including smart art, music and movement, simple science, math matters, literacy lessons, nature tales, and more. In addition to the opportunity for students to learn through play, the Pretend City community classrooms are available for parent teacher conferences and co-op use. Advanced online registration is required to participate in Pretend City Homeschool Days.

The Rinks Westminster offers drop-in ice skating every Monday at 10:50 a.m. for $12 when you register for an account. Once an account is established, drop-in sessions can be taken anytime during public skating times and homeschool skating times for the $12 fee. Ice skating is a great way to meet the PE requirements and get the kids out with other families to enjoy a day on the ice. The Rinks Westminster is an approved vendor for many of the charter schools and they also offer complete homeschool learn to skate programs.
Yorba Linda – First Thursday of every month

The Rinks Yorba Linda offers ice skating at a discounted rate of $5 per skater and includes the skate rental and a mini lesson. This is a great way to get in some enjoyable physical education and expose kids to new activities while giving them the opportunity to socialize with other kids on and off the ice. The Rinks Yorba Linda also offers a complete homeschool class for ages 6-15.

Rockin’ Jump in Santa Ana is an indoor trampoline park that offers a dedicated jump time every Monday and Thursday for the homeschool community. A valid homeschool identification card is required to receive the discounted rate. Rockin’ Jump offers a variety of obstacles and elements for kids to enjoy including trampolines, the X-beam, a rock climbing wall, laser maze, dodgeball area, basketball hoops, and more.

Legoland California offers discounted rates for homeschool groups during the week. They offer the discount as a group rate only and a minimum of 10 tickets must be purchased to receive the discount. The tickets must be paid for in advance and requires prior registration online or by phone. On the day of the visit, all ticket holders must be present to pick up the admission tickets and provide verification of homeschool status. Disneyland does not host discounted homeschool days but there are several groups and charter schools that organize homeschool days for families to meet at the park and enjoy Disneyland together as a group. Generally, full price admission is required to enter the park.
