Each year Disneyland transforms the park into spook-free decorations and costumed characters. The Main Street Pumpkin Festival is a guest favorite, showcasing hand-carved jack-o-lanterns. Over at California Adventure, you’ll find festive decorations and themed attractions like Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Monsters After Dark. Oogie Boogie Bash, a separately ticketed event features trick-or-treating, Halloween Scream fireworks, villain encounters, and a parade led by the Headless Horseman.

A leader in manufacturing nightmares, Knott’s Berry Farm is host to one of the biggest and longest running fright fests in Southern California. As darkness descends, monsters and zombies take over the park, triggering terror for all who enter to experience horrifying mazes, scare zones, and shows. Camp Snoopy transforms into Camp Spooky every year at Knott’s Berry Farm for scare-free Halloween fun. Participate in special activities ideal for ages 3-11.

Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights

Journey through terrifying haunted houses, scare zones, mazes, live shows and more. Experiences are based on popular horror films, TV shows, and original stories.


LEGOLand Brick-or-Treat

September 14 – October 27, 2024

This family-friendly Halloween event geared toward younger features Halloween LEGO-themed activities, decorations, costume contests, seasonal shows, and trick-or-treating throughout the park.


Six Flags Fright Fest

September 7 – November 3, 2024

This event transforms the park into a haunted experience with spooky decorations, costumed performers, and nighttime rides, haunted houses, scare zones, and live montsertainment.

Adventure City’s kid-friendly Halloween Party is a hit for the whole family. The special, ticket-holders only event includes a Trick-or-Treat street for collecting goodies, a Vortex Tunnel, tricks from the Mad Scientist Magician, a Halloween Scavenger Hunt, a Spooktacular Dance Party, and eleven rides. Tickets sold out last year so be sure to purchase your tickets early! Guests are invited to wear their favorite costumes (optional) and enjoy the spirit of the spooky season.

For over 100 years, the Anaheim community has celebrated the season with the annual Fall Festival and Halloween Parade. Children 12 and under are invited to wear their Halloween best and take part in the Kiddie Costume Contest. The best dressed pets? There’s a Halloween Pooch Pawrade for them. The historic Anaheim Festival and Parade has a star-studded past, with the first parade in 1924 being led by baseball stars Babe Ruth and Walter Johnson. Don’t miss out on this exciting annual tradition.

Every October, Pretend City hosts special Halloween-themed activities. Dress up for costume week, and on Frankenstein Friday guests can dance to the Monster Mash, make fun crafts and participate in Monster-themed STEM activities. You can even come out to the OC Ghostbusters event where kids will learn about science while making slime and play ghostly games. Plus, take their picture in the Ghostbusters car. On October 31st, Pretend City hosts a Trick-or-Treating event for kids to collect treats throughout the museum and join in the Monster Mash Dance Party.

Every five years, The Festival of the Arts Laguna Beach hosts the annual Pageant of the Monsters. The Festival grounds are transformed into all things eerie with a themed haunted house in The Pageant’s backstage area. The Pageant’s backstage will transform into an eerie haunted house themed “Maze of the Minotaur.” Plus, brush off those creative cobwebs and sign up for the Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters’ Scarecrow Contest.

Climb aboard the ghost train for a trip around the park or hitch a ride on the big green tractor-pulled wagon for a hay ride. Face painting and cookie decorating are available for those crafty kids, plus they’ll have a blast in the moon bouncer and playing carnival games. Mini John Deere races are available and there is a mining area to pan for gold and kids can take home a bag of gold they discover.
