It’s Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort and California Adventure – when both parks transform into a scare-free Halloween wonderland. From costumed characters and delightful decorations to spook-tacular stage shows and special treats, Halloween Time at Disney does not disappoint. Read on for all the spooky specifics. Disneyland Park Halloween Festivities & Attractions
From September 3 – October 31, Disney Characters will don their Halloween Best. Come make memories and snag a snapshot. Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas will be near the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square, and all the classic characters will be making their rounds as usual throughout the Disneyland grounds.
Haunted Mansion Holiday
Jack Skellington put his festive fingerprint on the Haunted Mansion, complete with spectacular sights, seasonal surprises, special characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Come explore the Mansion’s eerie holiday transformation from September through January.
Main Street Pumpkin Festival
The magic of Disney lights up hundreds of hand-carved jack-o-lanterns for the Main Street Pumpkin Festival. This annual display is a popular Disney-fan favorite. The frightfully festive pumpkins are on display through October 31st.
The Halloween Screams show is a nightly show gathering of all the mischievous Disney villains hosted by Jack Skellington and his dog Zero. Ursula, Maleficent, and other troublemakers will be on the scene for a spirited show and spectacular sing-a-long. The show will be followed by fireworks on select nights.
California Adventure Halloween Festivities & Attractions
Just like it’s magical counterpart, California Adventure is completely decked out in Halloween Decor for a spooktacular seasonal celebration. But don’t take our word for it – go check out the ghoulish garb yourself! You’ll be especially spooked along Buena Vista Street and at Cars Land’s Radiator Screams where all your favorite Cars characters are dressed up for Halloween.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark
Team up with Rocket in this Halloween themed adventure to rescue Groot. All guests with FastPass tickets to Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout after 3:00 pm will enjoy this exciting experience through October 30th.
Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul – O – Ween & Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree
Join Luigi and Guido for a Halloween honk-fest at Radiator Screams. The festive dance party will delight even the grumpiest ghouls. Then, for more two-steppin’ action head over to Mater’s Graveyard for frightful festivities and monster-mashing music.

- Especially spooky Halloween treats are available to purchase at select locations throughout Disneyland and California Adventure. Choose from delectable offerings like Monster Halloween Cake, the Mickey Pumpkin Balloon Bucket, the Coco Churro, Mickey Fang Bread, a Mummy Donut Oogie’s Worms & Dirt Funnel Cake Fries, and the Slow Burnin’ Mac ‘n’ Cheese Cone. Plus, at both parks you can find the Purple Poison Apple Glow Cube, and Purple Poison Apple Premium Mug.
- Learn more about the creatures and legends behind the Haunted Mansion during a 2.5 hour historical walking tour. The tour is $99 per person in addition to regular park admission, and reservations are required.

Oogie Boogie Bash
The Oogie Boogie Bash is a special Halloween event that runs on select nights in September and October. The event requires an additional purchase and is for ticket holders only and includes special attractions, entertainment, and special dining options. Oogie Boogie Bash features the new World of Color production, Villainous! that takes place over Paradise Bay exclusively for the Oogie Boogie Bash. The sensational show features fountains, projections, special effects and lights and takes viewers on an unforgettable adventure through a Halloween themed story featuring the Disney Villains and 9-year old Shelley Marie. Oogie Boogie Bash guests will also enjoy Mickey’s Trick or Treat – a not-so-spooky costume party and stage show held at the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land. If you’re brave enough to encounter dark magic, take a walk to Villains Grove, an enchanted forest complete with Frollo’s sanctuary, Maleficent’s Will, a twisted rose garden belonging to the Queen of Hearts, and Scar’s eerie Elephant Graveyard. Additional Oogie Boogie Bash activities include Treat Trails, DescenDANCE, and the Frightfully Fun Parade.
