Monster Jam 2024 – Angel Stadium of Anaheim

Monster Jam comes to Angel Stadium of Anaheim each year for three weekends of massive fun in January and February. The 2024 event features 12 masterful drivers operating 12,000-pound machines doing backflips and jumps at up to 70 miles per hour. The pre-event Monster Jam Pit Party gives fans the opportunity to meet the drivers, get autographs, and see their favorite monster trucks up close.

How Long is Monster Jam?

Monster Jam is about 2 hours in length with a 15 minute intermission for “construction” trucks to smooth the dirt arena and move the crushed cars.

Monster Jam Pit Party

The Monster Jam Pit Party gives fans the chance get see their favorite trucks up close and get an inside look at how they are built. You can also meet and take photos with some of the drivers and crews. Don’t forget to get an autograph! Each Pit Party is different, but other activities you may find here include the Pit Stop Play Area, inflatable slides, remote control truck course, and unique photo ops, including the chance to take a picture with the Series trophy.

Pit Parties require a separate admission ticket, along with a ticket for the Monster Jam event. For an additional fee, get an early access pit party pass to get in an hour before the rest of the crowd.

An hour before the Main Event begins, fans can experience Monster Jam Trackside for:

  • Power Rush Truck Introductions

Competitions & Challenges

  • Racing Competition: During the racing competition, there are multiple rounds with two trucks at a time going head to head racing along a prescribed course with the winners advancing in the competition until two trucks are left standing to battle it out for the winning spot.
  • Skills Challenge: The skills challenge is a judged competition, with drivers competing to performs some of the best stunts including backflips and wheelies.
  • Donut Competition: In this judged competition, drivers compete to do as many rotations on a flat surface as fast as possible.
  • Freestyle Competition: In the judged freestyle competition, drivers attempt to show off their best stunts, tricks, and skills. Each driver has the same amount of time to show off their stuff to receive a score.

Judging

Fans can participate in judging and scoring the skills, freestyle, and donut challenges by using their mobile device and logging into JudgesZone.com.

Monster Jam Tips

  • Bring earplugs or headphones especially for younger children. The trucks, music and the crowd will be very loud. If you have a child who is sensitive to loud noises, don’t take them.
  • Arrive early to get the best seats and avoid long lines.
  • Set aside some money for souvenirs.
  • Tailgate in the parking lot.
  • Bring a blanket and dress according to the scheduled weather.
  • Get the Monster Jam Pit Party pass and meet the drivers and take instagrammable pictures in front of the trucks.
  • Bring a pen and something for the drivers to sign autographs on, like a photo, autograph book, t-shirt or merch.
  • If you want to get a good view of the action, try to sit as close to the track as possible. You’ll get a better view of the stunts and tricks, and you’ll feel the ground shake as the trucks go by.
  • Learn about the drivers and trucks before you go. It will make it more fun.
