See two rounds of AMA Supercross motorcycle racing at Angel Stadium of Anaheim on Saturday, January 6 and January 27, 2024. AMA Supercross racing takes place on a course made up of dirt jumps and other obstacles at varying speeds with competitors often exceeding 60 miles per hour. Obstacles include jumps, berms, and whoops, with riders launching distances as far as 70 feet and flying three stories high off jumps called “triples.”

How Long is AMA Supercross?
AMA Supercross is about 3 hours in length including the introductions and until all races are complete.
Supercross events begin well before rider introductions, with qualifying heats in the afternoon hours, leading to the early evening main event races. During qualifiers, fans can explore the Monster Energy Supercross FanFest to get an up close look at bikes, meet riders, see entertainment, and participate in interactive activities.
- Main Event races for the 450 Class: 20 minutes + 1 lap,
- Main Event races for the 250 Class: 15 minutes + 1 lap.
FANFEST
Supercross FanFest gives spectators the opportunity to see teams prepare, practice, and qualify for the Main Event, get a look at the motorcycles, and meet with the riders. Other things to do at the Supercross FanFest may include gaming rigs, a pump track, interactive toy tables, and exhibitions. You can also take photos, visit sponsor displays, purchase gear, and see live entertainment. Don’t miss this exciting Supercross experience.
To enter FanFest, you’ll need an event ticket AND either a FanFest Pass (available for purchase when you buy your tickets) or you can recycle an empty Monster Energy can for admission.

AMA Supercross Point System
Points are earned only during main events and are awarded as follows:
- Top finisher = 26 points
- 2nd Place = 23 points
- 3rd Places = 21 points
- 4th Place = 19 points
- 5th Place = 18 points
- 6th Place = 17 points
- Each place below receiving one point less
Points are accumulated throughout Supercross season. The rider with the most points after round 17 is the Monster Energy AMA Supercross World Champion.
SuperMotocross World Championship includes points from Supercross season and Pro Motorcross season.
