The Anaheim Convention Center holds the title as the largest of its kind on the west coast, with over one million square feet of exhibit space and 130,000 square feet of ballroom and meeting space.
The Convention Center was originally built in 1967 and has since undergone several cosmetic renovations and seven expansions, the most recent completed in 2017. Some of the most notable updates to the Center include the Grand Plaza which added 100,000 square feet of outdoor space to be used for gatherings, dining, and concerts. The expansion completed in 2000 completely transformed the Center itself and the surrounding campus. Anaheim’s ballroom is one of the largest available at a whopping 38,058 square feet.
The Anaheim Convention Center is part of the city’s Anaheim Resort. The 1,100 acre district has been completely renovated for tourism and includes Disneyland, California Adventure, and the hotels that serve the Convention Center and amusement parks.

Restaurants: What to eat around Anaheim Convention Center?
There are many restaurants near the convention center as it is close to Disneyland and the Anaheim GardenWalk. Both Downtown Disney (free access) and the GardenWalk have many great choices to choose from. Mix Restaurant, nFuse, Morton’s Steakhouse and Ruth Chris are within the same city block as the convention center. The Anaheim Packing District has a great mix of restaurants, bars and entertainment and is a ten minute drive from the convention center.
Fine dining and upscale best restaurants include Disney’s Grand California Napa Rose, Morton’s, Ruth Chris, The Ranch Restaurant & Saloon, Anaheim White House.
For views of the Disneyland fireworks while dining try the FIFTH Rooftop Restaurant or the Parkestry Rooftop Bar.
