Miguel’s Jr. History

Originally, Miguel’s Jr. was started as just Miguel’s in 1973 when the owners, Mary and Mike Vasquez, took over an existing restaurant in Corona, California, and renamed it after Mike’s grandfather. Within the following years, Mary worked very hard to share the family recipes she had learned from her childhood with everyone who visited and ate at Miguel’s.

Eventually, the popularity of Miguel’s required a second location, so just two years after Miguel’s had opened, Mary and Mike leased a fast food branch a few miles away from the original location and named it Miguel’s Jr.

The Miguel’s Jr. chain continues to carry on the legacy of Mary Vasquez, and now offers a variety of dishes that are quick, delicious, and affordable, all over Southern California.
