Chipotle Secret Menu 2024

Ah, Chipotle. This fast casual Mexican Grill was founded in 1993 and was a Colorado based chain until McDonald’s invested in the company in 1998. When McD’s divested in 2006, there were more than 500 locations. Today, Chipotle has over 2,000 locations, and guess what? Their corporate headquarters are right here in OCs Newport Beach.

When Chipotle restaurants began popping up across southern California, many people discovered the new fast Mexican food, and turned into Chipotle fanatics. There are some die-hard Chipotle lovers out there that know everything there is about the food that’s served hot and fresh to customers. Here’s a peek at some of the Chipotle secret menu items that you can order, if you know what to ask for.

The Chipotle Secret Menu

The Burritodilla

Part Quesadilla, part burrito, the burritodilla is a quesadilla with the addition of the burrito toppings. How to order: Ask for a burrito with cheese on the tortilla, with a layer of burrito toppings on the cheese. Add another layer of cheese and fold like a quesadilla then throw it on the grill to cook.

Double Wrapped Burrito

If you love a good tortilla, this one is for you. Just ask for a burrito wrapped with two tortillas and you’re in business.

Double Decker Taco

A double decker taco isn’t exclusive to Taco Bell! Chipotle has their own secret menu version. You may be able to ask for it by name, but if they don’t know, order a soft shell cheese taco, and a regular taco with normal fillings. Put the cheese taco on the bottom and stack the normal taco on top, wrap, and eat.

The 3-Pointer

This one is tricky, but if you don’t want the giant overstuffed burrito, you can get this smaller version. And it may even be cheaper than a regular burrito if you play your toppings right. According to Chipotle, any portion of meat, sofritas, or Guac is valued at two points. All other toppings are 1 point. Meat and salsa only? That’s a 3-pointer.

Nachos

If you need a nacho fix, you can get them at Chipotle with all your favorite toppings. Just ask for a burrito bowl of your choice, no rice, chips instead.

Quesadilla

You can always request just a quesadilla at Chipotle. Kids always love these. All you have to do is ask. Just ask for a quesadilla made with any of the burrito toppings you like and they’ll make it for you. In fact, Chipotle has just added a new list of quesadillas to their menu that you can order by name:

  • Steak Quesadilla with Fajita Veggies
  • Chicken Quesadilla with Fajita Veggies
  • Barbacoa Quesadilla with Fajita Veggies
  • Carnitas Quesadilla with Fajita Veggies
  • Sofritas Quesadilla with Fajita Veggies

You can also try these quesadilla hacks from popular TikTok influencers:

  • Frost’s Fajita Quesadilla Hack: Steak, cheese, and fajita veggies inside. Serve with roasted chili-corn salsa, tomatillo red chili salsa, and sour cream.
  • Keithadilla: Steak, cheese, and fajita veggies inside. Served with chipotle honey vinaigrette and sour cream (mix these two together for a dipping sauce), and roasted chili-corn salsa.
  • Dragon Sauce: Make this quesadilla dipping sauce by mixing sour cream with Chipotle’s Hot Salsa.
  • Spicy Queso: Another great dipping sauce, mix the hot salsa with the queso.

Kid’s Menu Hacks

There are several ways to hack the kids meal to get more value and unique menu options.

  • Kid’s Meal for Adults: With a kid’s meal you can get tacos or a quesadilla, a drink, and chips. Most locations allow adults to order the kids meals so if you’re looking for a slightly lighter meal for a few less bucks try this hack.
  • Burrito Bowl Quesadilla Combo: Order a Quesadilla Kid’s Meal with a side a of meat then make a burrito bowl with the beans, rice and meat. There is a charge for the meat but basically you wind up with a combo meal with chips and soda for about the same price as a burrito.
  • Loaded Quesadilla Kid’s Meal Hack: Order a Quesadilla Kid’s Meal with a protein and any two sides then request salsa after (so it doesn’t count as a side). Add a portion of the ingredients into the quesadilla to make it loaded and use the chips to scoop and eat the rest of the sides.

Quesarito

If you want your burrito wrapped in melty, cheesy goodness, just ask for the quesarito. Most employees know what to do when you ask for this by name, but if they’re not sure, just ask for two tortillas quesadilla style, wrapped around the burrito of your choice.

Single Taco

While the menu doesn’t list ala carte items, you can totally order a single taco. It’s the perfect portion size for small appetites.

Free Fajita Veggies

Ask for any veggies from Chipotle cooked up fajita-style.

Extras!

Chipotle has both soft and crunchy shells for tacos. You can ask for extras! Also, you can ask for double toppings. They have a portion size for each topping, but if you want extra beans, rice, veg, or salsa, its ok to ask for double. If you want extra guac or meat, that’ll be an extra charge.

Mix & Match

They’ll ask if you want black beans or pinto beans, but you don’t have to limit yourself to just one – ask for a little of both. You can mix and match salsas too, and even meat, just ask for half and half of the two meats of your choice.

What’s On The Menu

Chipotle is really a build-your-own style restaurant, so you can pretty much create whatever type of burrito, taco, bowl, or salad that you want (and Nachos!). Here’s what’s on the menu so you can create your own menu hacks!
