Safe and Sane fireworks can be purchased and used in eleven Orange County cities. All cities require the use of safe and sane fireworks and illegal fireworks possession and use is prohibited.

Anaheim
Sale Dates/Times
June 28th and July 3rd between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
July 4th between 10:00 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Allowed Fireworks Discharging Date/Times: On July 4th, fireworks may be discharged between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Fireworks use is not allowed in the hilly eastern side of Anaheim where wildfires are a risk. The ban runs east of the 55 and east and southeast of the 91 freeway.

Buena Park
Sale Dates/Times: Safe & Sane Fireworks can be sold between the hours of 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. on July 1st to July 3rd, and between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. on July 4th.
Allowed Fireworks Discharging Date/Times: The City allows the use and possession of safe and sane fireworks that may be discharged within the city only on July 4th of each year, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Costa Mesa
Sale Dates/Times: Beginning June 30 through July 4, safe and sane fireworks will be available for sale.
Allowed Fireworks Discharging Date/Times: Fireworks may be discharged from 4 to 10 p.m. on July 2-4.
Fullerton
Sale Dates/Times: Safe and Sane fireworks sales may be sold beginning on July 1st through July 3rd from noon till 10:00 p.m. Sales may continue on July 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Allowed Fireworks Discharging Date/Times: Fireworks may be discharged from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4.
Fireworks are not permitted at Fullerton public schools and parks. The Brea Dam Recreational areas and the Coyote Hills areas are also prohibited places.
Garden Grove
Sale Dates/Times: Firework sales take place from July 1 through July 4. Hours are: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., July 1 through July 3; and 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on July 4.
Allowed Fireworks Discharging Date/Times: Use of safe and sane fireworks is allowed on private property only from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4.
Huntington Beach
Sale Dates/Times: Safe and Sane Firework sales allowed on July 1-4 from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m.
Allowed Fireworks Discharging Date/Times: Discharge of Safe and Sane Fireworks is only allowed on July 4 from Noon – 10 p.m.
Los Alamitos
Sale Dates/Times: Safe and Sane Firework sales allowed on July 1, 2, and 3 from Noon – 10 p.m. and on July 4 from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m.
Allowed Fireworks Discharging Date/Times: Discharge of Safe and Sane Fireworks is only allowed on July 4.
Orange
Sale Dates/Times: Fireworks will be sold between the dates of July 1st and July 3rd between 12:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., and on July 4th between 10:00 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Allowed Fireworks Discharging Date/Times: July 4th is the only day the fireworks can be discharged between the hours of 12 noon and 10:00 p.m. Discharging the fireworks during any other time is prohibited and subject to a $1,000 fine for the first offense.
Santa Ana
Sale Dates/Times: Fireworks sales may commence on July 1st at 12 PM and must conclude by July 4th at 9PM.
Allowed Fireworks Discharging Date/Times: Fireworks may be discharged from July 1 to July 4.
Stanton
Sale Dates/Times: Fireworks are sold July 1st–July 4th.
Allowed Fireworks Discharging Date/Times: Approved fireworks may only be used on private residential properties and only from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on July 1-4.
Villa Park Fireworks
Sale Dates/Times: Fireworks will be sold between the dates of June 30th and July 3rd between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., and on July 4th between 10:00 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Allowed Fireworks Discharging Date/Times: July 4th is the only day the fireworks can be discharged between the hours of 12 noon and 10:00 p.m. Discharging the fireworks during any other time is prohibited and subject to a $500 fine for the first offense.
Fireworks Stand Locations: Villa Park locations will be at the Villa Park Town Center, Villa Park High School and Cerro Villa Middle School.
Westminster
Sale Dates/Times: Fireworks are sold June 30th-July 3rd 10am-10pm & July 4th 10am-9pm.
Allowed Fireworks Discharging Date/Times: Fireworks may only be discharged on July 4th from 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. on residential streets only.
