Dory Fishing Fleet

The historic Dory Fishing Fleet began in 1891 and is a registered historical landmark. It is the last coop of its kind in the US. Daily catch is here Wednesday through Sunday until they are sold out. They open at 6:30 AM Wednesday through Friday, and 5:30 AM Saturday and Sunday. Selection will vary based on catch of the day. Wednesday through Friday is fish only, Saturday is crab and seafood.

Family-owned Pearson’s Port Seafood Market is “Newport’s hidden gem” where those in the know, can find fresh, locally caught shrimp, lobster, crab, shellfish and fish. Locally caught live spot prawns and California spiny lobster are a couple of their specialties. Visitors can also find a few non-local fresh seafood, but most of it is local and freshly caught.
