Knott’s Boysenberry Festival 2024

The Knott’s Boysenberry Festival is a food inspired event, think Taste of Knott’s, and begins on Friday, March 8 and lasts through Sunday, April 28, 2024. The festival is a celebration of the boysenberry, a berry hybrid that was first grown by Walter Knott, the founder of the park. The festival features a variety of boysenberry-themed foods, drinks, and activities, including live entertainment and special merchandise. Each year the event introduces entirely new food and drink offerings plus live performances and activities.

Boysenberry Festival Tickets

The Boysenberry Festival is included with admission to Knott’s, including season pass holders, or with a special Knott’s Hotel Boysenberry Package that typically include overnight accommodations, a tasting card, parking and more.

The Tasting Card is a pre-paid card that is sold at a discounted price compared to buying the items individually and allows visitors to sample a selection of boysenberry-themed food and drinks at various food booths throughout the festival. Season pass holders typically receive better discounts for the tasting cards.

Things To Do At Knott’s Boysenberry Festival

There are a variety of activities and attractions to enjoy, including:

  1. Boysenberry-themed food and drinks: A highlight of the festival is the opportunity to try a wide range of boysenberry-infused dishes and drinks, such as boysenberry pie, boysenberry barbecue sauce, boysenberry donuts, boysenberry lemonade and boysenberry condiments such as ketchup, mustard, and salsa.
  2. Craft Beer & Wine Tasting: Those looking to sample different beers and wines can also take part in the Craft Beer Tasting at the Wilderness Dance Hall. A separate sampling card for that is available, giving guests tasting portions of a variety of boysenberry alcoholic beverages from local craft breweries and beverage makers.
  3. Live entertainment: The festival features live music on multiple stages throughout the park.
  4. Crafts and games: Visitors can also participate in a variety of games and activities, such as pie-eating contests and crafts for kids.
  5. Crafts Fair: Local vendors and artists offer a variety of boysenberry-themed merchandise, including clothing, souvenirs, and other items. Plus, handcrafted wares from artwork to clothing.
  6. Rides and attractions: As the festival takes place at Knott’s Berry Farm, visitors can also enjoy the park’s many rides, attractions, and other offerings.
  7. Berry Lane: A festive area featuring a dining area, games, instagrammable photo opps, and meet-and-greets.
  8. Tied Up In Knott’s Art Show: The show features works of art by local artists, inspired by the park and its rich history. The works often include paintings, sculptures, photography, and other forms of art, all with a focus on Knott’s and its heritage. Visitors can enjoy viewing the art, meeting the artists, and perhaps even purchase a piece to take home.
  9. Calico Park: This area offers a series of different bands performing throughout the day.
  10. Calico Mine Stage: This area features boysenberry-themed performances, such as concerts and cooking demonstrations, Snoopy’s Boysenberry JAMboree and pie-eating contests.
  11. Boardwalk BBQ Stage: This stage is home to the jazz duo, Boysenberry Blues, where visitors and diners alike can enjoy the music and sometimes catch a dance performance.
  12. Fiesta Village Stage: This stage features authentic music from Mexico including mariachi music and folklorico dancers.
  13. Cloud Nine Ballroom: This ballroom is used to stage 1980’s musical performances during the festival.
  14. K-NOT RADIO: DJ’s hosts live broadcasts from the festival grounds, interviews with park officials and performers, and more. K-NOT Radio is available for visitors to listen to both inside and outside the park.
  15. Old McDonald’s Farm: This permanent area is re-imagined with a boysenberry theme.
