Darker Waves Festival

The inaugural Darker Waves Festival features well-known ’80s new wave rock groups for a single-day beach concert event in Huntington Beach. More than 30 acts will be performing across three stages with popular headliners Tears For Fears and New Order leading the charge. Additional performers include The B-52s, Echo & the Bunnymen, OMD, The Human League, Violent Femmes, X, Devo, Soft Cell, The Psychedelic Furs, The Cardigans, Molchat Doma, The English Beat, Crosses, T.S.O.L., Death in Vegas, She Wants Revenge, Cold Cave, and more.

The musical event will offer an array of food options from regional and local vendors. Attendees can also enjoy the convenience of bars, concessions, and various merchandise options, including official band merchandise and festival-specific items. Furthermore, free water stations will be available to keep everyone hydrated throughout the event.

The concert will take place at Huntington City Beach on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

Darker Waves Fest Location & Parking

The Darker Waves festival takes place on the beach, directly opposite The Waterfront Beach Resort (Hilton) and Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa on Pacific Coast Highway. To reach the festival site from the north or west, follow these directions:

  1. Take the 405 South freeway.
  2. Exit at Seal Beach Blvd.
  3. Make a right turn onto Seal Beach Blvd.
  4. Continue on Seal Beach Blvd until you reach Pacific Coast Highway (PCH).

Self-parking options in Huntington Beach are available on a first-come, first-serve basis in the following areas:

  • Main Promenade parking structure Downtown HB
  • Huntington City Beach Parking Lot on 6th Street
  • Pierside Pavillion

If you live nearby, consider walking, biking, using a ride share service (Uber, Lyft, etc.), or other means of public transportation.

If you are flying to Southern California, the easiest access is through John Wayne / Orange County / Santa Ana airport (SNA) or Long Beach airport (LGB). Both are a reasonable taxi/Uber/Lyft ride to Huntington Beach.
