Adult Arcades

If you’re looking for a different kind of date night or just a fun night out with friends, check out some local adult arcades! Most of these locations are 21 and over (but we’re including a few that are all ages), and include other adult friendly features like beer, cocktails, live music, DJs, trivia nights and more.

Time to get your game on at one of these adult arcades in the OC, San Diego, and Los Angeles area — hopefully we’ll see more in Orange County soon!

You can get food and drinks at this Garden Grove arcade bar that is 21 and over only. They have a small menu of bar food favorites like tacos, tater tots, and pizza, video game themed specialty cocktails, beer, and seltzer.

Mission Control

McFadden Public Market: 515 N Main Street, Santa Ana, CA 92701

Mission Control is a vintage arcade in Santa Ana’s McFadden Public Market with rotating pinball and arcade games. They serve specialty cocktails and craft beer and have regular events like DJs and trivia nights. They have plenty of tables to relax and hang out between games.

The Arcade at Brew 30

1 Market Place, San Diego, CA 92101

This local tap house is a chill place to stop in San Diego. They have a short menu of tasty pub food (including some for the kids). While this is geared mostly to adult entertainment, you can bring the kids with you. There are plenty of beers on tap, arcade themed specialty cocktails, air hockey, over 20 arcade games, big screen TVs, and photo booths.

Blipsy Bar

369 N Western Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90004

Not quite an arcade, but this dive bar in LA has quirky décor and a collection of old school arcade games. They also have plenty of room for dancing with live DJs most nights at 10. Blipsy is 21 and over only with a happy hour until 8PM. This one is cash only so be prepared!

Brewskis Bar & Arcade

Brewskis Bar and Arcade is a 21 and over only spot serving tasty pub food, craft beer, wine, and cocktails. Hang out at the tables indoors or out, or make your rounds to rack up the high scores at some of the awesome arcade games and pinball machines. There’s also air hockey, 3 pool tables, and big screen TVs showing major sporting events and UFC events.

Button Mash

You’ll find plenty of arcade games to play at this LA barcade. They have machines from the 70s to the 90s and they rotate out the machines so there’s variety, but of course you’ll find classics like Donkey Kong and Frogger. In addition to the games and the cocktails, you can get awesome food at Poltergeist – the concept by Diego Argoti. Beef and Broccoli ravioli? Yes please. Button Mash is all ages until 9PM, then it’s 21 and over only.

Coin-Op Game Room

Coin Op Game Room has plenty of fun to offer including shooting games, pinball machines, and classics like Galaga and Ms. Pacman. They’ve got a decent selection of food including bar food snacks, each location has a few extras like sandwiches, tacos, or pizza. Coin Op is 21 and over only and they usually have drink specials for happy hour.

This San Diego area barcade features a full arcade and 50 pour-your-own taps with craft beer and ciders. Get your game on with arcade favorites like Pac Man and Mortal Kombat, and join in one of the tournaments, or participate in one of their other events like beer pong or trivia night. Coin Haus is 21 and over only.

EightyTwo

707 E 4th Place, Los Angeles, CA 90013

For a different nightlife experience, head to EightyTwo for their laid back lounge, vintage arcade, full bar, and DJs. There is an outdoor patio to enjoy, plus 55 vintage pinball machines. The bar offers 10 draft beers, plus seasonal cocktails. They are open til 2AM six nights a week and are 21 and over only.

The One Up

The One Up is a gastrolounge and arcade that is 21 and over, and games are free to play for all paying customers. They have fun 80s themed specialty cocktails, craft beer, and selection of bar food bites. Stop in for the grub and stay to play games like Mortal Kombat, Centipede, Donkey Kong, and Space Invaders.

The Paradox Arcade + Bar

The Paradox Arcade + Bar offers 80s and 90s pinball machines, classic arcade games, and console games including Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Qbert, and Pole Position. Plus, enjoy a rotating selection of craft beer on tap, wine, and hand crafted cocktails. 21 and over only.

Player One

5126 Lankershim Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601

Head to the Valley to chill out at this retrowave bar and arcade with 5,000 square feet of gaming space and signature cocktails. Enjoy music from the 80s and 90s while challenging your friends to your favorite arcade games at this 21 and over hot spot with a full bar. There’s no food here, but you can bring your own as long as you clean up after yourself.

Two Bit Circus

Two Bit Circus is an arcade concept in downtown LA. It is open to all ages, but minors will need to be accompanied by an adult, especially after 9PM. There’s a lot here geared towards adult entertainment though, so you won’t feel like you’re hanging out with all the neighborhood kids. They offer classic and current arcade games, VR experiences, Story Rooms, and Two Bit Circus original entertainment. There’s also food and a bar.

Walt’s Bar

Walt’s Bar is a 21 and over gaming destination with classic pinball machines and cold beer on tap. Wine and hot dogs are also on the menu. Take a break from the games and chill on the outdoor patio. This is definitely a laid back place to hang out and worth the visit for a night out.
