Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar

1150 Magic Way, Anaheim, CA 92802

Located at the Disneyland Resort Hotel, Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar offers some delicious appetizers and drinks in a gorgeous lounge setting both inside and outside. When you step inside, you’re greeted with rainstorms, volcanoes, and more! (And some special surprises when you order certain drinks!)

The Blind Rabbit

440 S Anaheim Blvd. #104, Anaheim, CA 92805

Themed to a 1920’s era speakeasy, The Blind Rabbit offers a collection of small bites and prohibition themed cocktails (including a line of absinthe based cocktails). This cozy speakeasy is a great place to go with friends for a special occasion.

Requiem Café

280 S Clementine Street, Anaheim, CA 92805

Step into an immersive fantasy room here at this one of a kind café. They serve up a selection of themed fantasy-inspired menu items, local hand roasted coffee, tea, and cocktails with a menu that changes seasonally.

Strong Water

270 S Clementine St., Anaheim, CA 92805

Set sail on a dinner adventure at this shipwrecked bar and restaurant. They have a full manifest of rum and unique cocktails like the Starward Swizzle and Naval Grog. Pair your drinks with one of the delicious menu items. Reservations are required for indoor dining at this spot, and it is 21 and over only.

With a southern theme, this restaurant offers an unbelievable ambience and some absolutely delectable food to go with it. Crickets greet you as you walk in, and stuffed french toast and crab cake benedict are just two of the incredible offerings on the menu.

The Cauldron

8028 Beach Blvd. Suite B, Buena Park, CA 90620

In a truly immersive dining experience, The Cauldron Spirits and Brews provides a truly unique dining experience for anyone who enjoys all things witchy. The moment you walk into this restaurant, you will be treated to an absolutely beautiful atmosphere, along with some wickedly good cocktails and delicious bites.

Royal Hawaiian

331 N Coast Hwy. Laguna Beach, CA 92651

The Royal Hawaiian, one of California’s oldest Tiki-themed bars, reopened under new ownership after a closure in 2022. The redesigned space pays tribute to Tiki culture and the bar’s original 1947 establishment. With original artifacts scattered throughout, including lamps, mugs, and dioramas, the restaurant showcases its rich history. The 22-seat bar is a highlight, featuring over 20 illuminated shelves displaying an impressive collection of rum bottles, mugs, and glassware. The cocktail menu offers both classic Royal Hawaiian originals, like the Mai Tai, and contemporary modern cocktails, with a diverse selection beyond rum and gin, such as a unique Paloma variation.

Pirates Dinner Adventure

7600 Beach Blvd., Buena Park, CA 90620

Pirates Dinner Adventure is perfect for a night out with your whole family! You are sure to have a great time in this interactive dinner show with a swashbuckling adventure that takes place over your three course meal. Pirates Dinner Adventure also offers holiday themed shows.

Medieval Times

7662 Beach Blvd., Buena Park, CA 90620

There are many wonderful dinner shows out there, but Medieval Times is one that everyone can enjoy at any age. A four course meal will be served during the performance where you’ll be treated to lots of jousting, horses, and hand to hand combat; this is not something to be missed!

High Horse Saloon

102 N Harbor Blvd., Fullerton, CA 92832

You’ll enjoy plenty of country fun and delicious food and drinks at this western themed saloon! A lot of attention has been paid to decorating the entire High Horse restaurant so that it makes you feel as if you are walking back through time.

Hello Kitty Grand Café

860 Spectrum Center Drive, Irvine, CA 92618

Located in the Irvine Spectrum Center, this is the perfect spot for any Hello Kitty lover! With both a walk-up for one of their many amazing treats or drinks and a sit down afternoon tea, you’re sure to have a great time here.

Chapter One: the modern local

227 N Broadway, Santa Ana, CA 92701

Located in what was once a library, Chapter One has leaned into its literary history both in the décor and menu. With delicious food like a wild mushroom flatbread or steak and feta salad, or one of their literary themed cocktails, you’re sure to have a great meal here.

The Lost Inferno

425 N. El Camino Real, San Clemente, CA 92672

Hey You Guuuyys! You gotta check out The Lost Inferno in San Clemente. They take you on a journey to the Goon Docks of Astoria in this shipwreck themed bar that pays homage to The Goonies with a cocktail menu packed full of rum (and more) with names like the Chester Copperpot, Hey You Guys, Blue Astoria, and One Eyed Willy. If a pirate’s life is for you, be sure to stop in. This one is a bar only — no food here, but you can head upstairs to their Japanese-themed speakeasy for sushi!


14401 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780

The Stowaway is a tropical themed tiki bar that transports visitors to a relaxing paradise with unique hand crafted cocktails, specially selected craft brews, and more than 100 rums. While you’re sipping your cares away, you can also enjoy a selection of aloha themed food like coconut shrimp, Spam musubi, poke bombs, pineapple fried rice, and Loco Moco. Happy hour runs Tuesday through Friday from 4PM – 6PM, and weekend brunch is 11AM – 3PM.

Beyond Orange County

Despite the fact that Orange County is home to a lot of great themed restaurants, we still wanted to take a look at a few of our favorite themed restaurants that are located just a short drive away.

Beetle House LA

7080 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028

Halloween runs year-round at Beetle House! Taking design cues from the works of Tim Burton and Edgar Allen Poe, among others, you’ll be treated to shows ranging from singers and dancers to magicians and psychics, all while enjoying food from a menu that is scary good.

The Green Room

1250 E Harvard Rd., Burbank, CA 91501

For a real VIP experience, head to The Green Room in Burbank! Modeled to resemble the “Green Rooms” in classic theaters and studios where the talent would eat and relax when not on stage, you can hang out in style as you take in the vintage décor and try one of their many luxurious dishes.

Scum and Villainy Cantina

6377 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028

If you’re looking for a bar that’s out of this world, look no further than the Scum and Villainy Cantina! With a name that pays homage to Star Wars and décor that brings many sci-fi classics to mind, this is the perfect place to geek out while dining on some delicious themed pub food.


6627 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028

For dinner with a side order of sideshow, head to Karnevil. Themed to recall vintage circuses, here you’ll find classic carnival acts from juggling to sword-swallowing. The acts change from night to night and the menu changes every season, so each visit will hold new surprises and new spectacles!

Apparition Room

With its own secret passageway, Apparition Room feels like a true speakeasy from the 1920’s. With small bites like baked mushroom fondue, and garlic and rosemary lamb lollipops, this is a great spot to grab a bite and one of the many amazing cocktails offered here.


711 Grand Ave Suite A, Carlsbad, CA 92008

While at first glance Harumama might seem like a standard Japanese restaurant, one look at their buns will show you just how unique a place they are. All their buns are stuffed and beautifully decorated to the point where you might not even believe they’re buns and not cakes. Whether you get the pig buns stuffed with pulled pork or the polar bear buns stuffed with sweet custard, there’s something for everyone to eat and enjoy!

Corvette Diner

2965 Historic Decatur Rd., San Diego, CA 92106

You’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time the moment you walk into Corvette Diner! Your choice of one of the amazing retro themed rooms and a friendly and sassy waitstaff decked out in poodle skirts awaits you as you enjoy classic American cuisine.

One Door North

One Door North is the perfect place for camping lovers looking for a unique place to eat. One of the more special experiences here is booking a spot at one of the three tables in the restaurant enclosed in a canvas tent, allowing you to enjoy a delicious three-course meal while feeling close to nature.

The Prestige – Magic Lounge & Showroom
