If you’re up for a long and challenging hike, you can take a 15 mile walk on the trail to the world’s largest California Fan Palm oasis and travel along Palm Canyon Creek. There are many other trails of varying levels of difficulty here as well.

If you’re looking for some competitive drop-in play try the Palm Desert Country Club. It’s open to the public for a fee and they have 28 pickleball courts with drop-in open play, organized by level.
