Sherman Library & Gardens Nights of 1000 Lights

Sherman Library & Gardens Nights of 1000 Lights is a festive holiday experience featuring a dazzling display of lights and holiday entertainment. The event runs for 13 nights during the month of December. For 2023, there is a special members only night on December 6 & 8. Dates for the general public are December 9-10 and December 14-22. The Nights of 1000 Lights is a popular holiday event and often sells out. Purchase tickets early to guarantee your spot.

Nights of 1000 Lights is a themed holiday event. For 2023, the theme is Candy Land!

Guests will stroll along the Rainbow Trail, past the Lollypop Woods and the Gumdrop Mountains, through the Peppermint Stick Forest, and the glistening light tunnel, on your way to the Candy Heart Carnival, featuring carnival games for kids of all ages.

Visit the Molasses Swamp, the Old Peanut Brittle House, and take the Candy Land Express Train to visit Santa in his workshop. Then head to the fire pit and make your own batch of s’mores. The Garden Shop will be open for unique holiday gifts. Make a wish at “The Wishing Tree” and create lasting memories with friends and family celebrating the holidays at Sherman Library & Gardens.

Sherman Library & Gardens Nights Of 1000 Lights

Nights Of 1000 Lights is an indoor/outdoor event. Dress warmly for cool evening temperatures.

The Sherman gardens are just over 2 acres. Light displays are set up in different areas and most visitors spend 1 – 1 ½ hours enjoying the event. The Gardens will not close until everyone has had a chance to enjoy the event. The event is accessible for strollers, wheelchairs, and mobility assistance devices.

Hours: 6PM – 9PM each night with entry times at 6PM, 7:00PM, and 8:00PM
Parking: Parking is Free. Two lots are designated for Sherman Library & Gardens, both located off Dahlia Avenue.

On public admission nights, there will be a taco cart vendor. Purchases will be cash only. A no-host beer and wine bar will be available.

Pets are not allowed with the exception of ADA designated service animals.

Nights Of 1000 Lights Tickets

Nights of 1000 Lights is a ticketed event. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Admission is $25 for members and $35 for non-members. Children 3 and under are free. Tickets are not refundable.

  • Family Package: $200 includes Family Membership + 4 Nights of 1000 Lights tickets

Nights of 1000 Lights Member Night

Member Night is December 6 & 8, 2023 from 5PM – 8PM. Admission to Member Night is $70 ($80 for member guests) and includes:

  • First look at holiday light displays
  • Dinner service by 608 Dahlia
  • Tree Lighting Ceremony
  • Pictures with Santa
  • No Host Wine, Beer, and Prosecco Bar
  • Live entertainment by the LA Follies
  • Sherman Library & Gardens’ special Holiday Ornament
