The Huntington Beach Surf City Winter Wonderland has been held at Pier Plaza in past seasons. Fun for all ages, Pier Plaza was transformed into a winter wonderland with an ice skating rink and many more festive activities. The details below are from past seasons and are kept for reference until a new event is announced.
In past seasons, tickets for ice skating could be purchased at the door or online. Gloves and socks were available to purchase, and ‘Bobby the Seal’ and ‘Tommy the Reindeer’ skate-aids were available to rent.
Also, be sure to check out Surf City Presents Magic On Main Street. The 2026 date is TBA; the most recent event was held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The event has featured a holiday market, holiday light displays and local seasonal delicacies. Magic on Main Street festivities take place in downtown Main Street in Huntington Beach.

Free parking will be offered for the first 90 minutes at City parking lots. There are two Pier Plaza lots adjacent to the Huntington Beach Pier. The Municipal Beach/Main Promenade Parking Structure Parking Pass is also valid in these lots.

- Ribbon Cutting Ceremony & Media Day (Friday, November 18, 2022 | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM): Skating will begin following the opening ceremony at 12pm
- Skate with a Firefighter (Monday, November 28, 2022 | 6:00 PM 9:00 PM): Come skate with our brave Huntington Beach firefighters
- 80’s Night (Wednesday, November 30, 2022 | 6:00 PM 9:00 PM): Skate to your favorite 80’s beats with a live DJ from 6–9pm
