San Clemente Fiesta Music Festival History
Originating in the 1950s as the Fiesta de la Cristianita Pageant, the event initially emerged as a small-scale community gathering. However, as time passed, it evolved into a music-centered occasion during the 1970s and 1980s. The remarkable performance by Rita Coolidge at the festival acted as a catalyst, attracting a growing number of bands to participate. Despite its expansion, the event has maintained its steadfast commitment to preserving its local essence, ensuring that it remains an affair cherished by the locals throughout the years.
