River Street Marketplace

Set in San Juan Capistrano’s historic Los Rios district, River Street Marketplace brings modern dining concepts, local art, retail shopping, and specialty services to the community. The new farmhouse themed venue is an indoor/outdoor destination featuring six structures surrounding a central green for gathering and tables for outdoor dining. One of the structures will be a mini food hall called Rodeo River Street and it is expected to have 10 fast-casual dining options.

The new addition to the San Juan Capistrano community has been in the works for nearly 10 years, with Almquist Developers overseeing the project. Construction began on February 16, 2022 with an original completion date landing in late 2022 or 2023. Inclement weather slowed the progress of the project, and now River Street Marketplace is scheduled to open for business in late Spring of 2024. The area being developed was previously occupied by Ito Nursery, which closed in 2021.
