Disney’s streaming service, Disney Plus launched on November 12th for $6.99 per month. Here’s what you need to know including the movies and shows available at release and coming soon.

Disney Plus Shows & Movies Coming Soon
- The Avengers: Endgame release date on Disney Plus is December 11, 2019.
- Newer films are expected to be released within a year of their theatrical release.
- All 2019 Disney theatrical releases will become available on the Disney+ app including Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Aladin, Dumbo, Frozen 2, Toy Story 4 and The Lion King.
- All 30 seasons of the Simpsons will be available.
- Within one year there will be 25 original series and more than 10 original movies.
- Within five years 50 original series and 10 original movies will be produced each year.
Disney Plus Things to Know
- Much like Netflix the Disney+ app will feature curated and personalized experiences for everyone. For example, for Marvel viewers the app will recommend films and shows from the Marvel studio and content similar to Marvel.
- Not every legacy movie and show will be immediately available due to complex issues with licensing agreements that Disney has already entered into.
- Most Disney content is expected to be removed from Netflix by the end of 2019 but above referenced licensing agreements will create a few exceptions.
- New episodes will be released weekly and will not be dropped all at once like Netflix.
- Disney Plus, ESPN Plus ($4.99/month) and Hulu will be available as bundle and all in one login.
- Adult-oriented Disney content will be streamed on Hulu ($5.99/month).
- Fox content, which Disney recently purchased, will be on Disney+ or Hulu depending on the content.
